On June 24 and 25 we participated in Taylorsville Dayzz, a celebration of the city's twentieth birthday. On July 1, 2, and 4 we were at America's Freedom Festival at Provo, our state's largest Fourth of July festival. At both events we had a booth where we passed out books, Bibles, pens, tote bags, and held a drawing for an iPad mini.
Over the course of the two events, twenty-one volunteers worked for forty-eight hours—not including the time many of them spent driving from Taylorsville to Provo or vice versa!
And because of their willingness to serve, we not only gathered contact information from more than 300 people (many of which we have already been able to follow up with and extend a second invitation to worship with us), but we've had first time guests at both campuses the very next Sunday!
Thank you to all of our festival volunteers!
If you'd like to get involved in one of CrossPoint's outreach events, be sure to stick around after the service this Sunday (July 10) for our volunteer training meeting.
