"Anticipating a Prophet" in 5 Tweets

A recap of the message Pastor Logan's message "Anticipating a Prophet" (from our series "Anticipating Christmas") in 140 characters or less:
  1. God promised Moses that He would "raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren" (Deut. 18:15). #CrossPointUT
  2. 1,500 yrs separated Moses & Zechariah but God didn't forget His promise to send a Prophet "like unto [Moses]" (Deut. 18:15). #CrossPointUT
  3. When Zechariah held John he literally held the promise of God & the assurance that a greater one was to be fulfilled (Lk1:76) #CrossPointUT
  4. "For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me" (John 5:46)—Jesus Christ is God's final Prophet! #CrossPointUT
  5. Hebrews' author wrote 30 yrs after Christ. Rather than argue a need for modern prophets, he pointed back to Jesus (cf. 1:1,2). #CrossPointUT
