After Jesus ascended into heaven, 120 disciples gathered for prayer in an upper room (cf. Acts 1:14-15). In the following chapter the Holy Spirit descends, resulting in 3,000 conversions (cf. Acts 2:41)! How could 120 Christians care for and teach 3,000 new converts? The answer is small groups! They met in smaller settings, "from house to house" (Acts 2:46), for the purpose of fellowship, worship, and prayer.
This coming Sunday (May 28), registration will open for our 2017 summer trimester small groups and you too will have the opportunity to gather with other believers for the same purpose. We hope you will consider joining one of the following studies.Blemished: How the Message of Malachi Confronts Empty Religion. In this college and young adult group, participants will study Malachi, a book about unfaithful priests, half-hearted religion, and blemished sacrifices. This study points out how many Christians are following in the footsteps of the people in Malachi's day. (There is a study guide available for $8.)
