Mission Team from NC Recap

As a church plant, CrossPoint is supported by other ministries around the country both prayerfully and financially. It is always exciting when one of those ministries sends a short term mission team to experience what God is doing in Utah firsthand! Earlier this month we were joined by a one such team from Faith Church in Goldsboro, NC.

This group jumped right in, helping with a variety of outreach projects. Along with several attenders from our Provo campus, they worked our booth at America's Freedom Festival, a four day event where they anded out books and Bibles and talked to people about Jesus. Those that weren't working a shift at the booth passed out Gatorade and water bottles in parks, handed out popsicles at a splash pad, filled up people's windshield washer fluid at a gas station, and took 2,000 Gospel tracts door to door. The following Sunday we had a first time guest join us as a direct result of their efforts!

The team was also introduced to Fight the New Drug as they attended service at each campus, as well as to the Pregnancy Help Center as they passed out flyers around Park City.

Near the end of their trip we did a bit of sightseeing, touring downtown Salt Lake City, riding the zipline at Olympic Park, and hiking to Battle Creek Falls.

We are so thankful for the encouragement and extra help this group provided!
